About Tom.

Food has always been part of my life. I grew up in West Wales, in Newport, Pembrokeshire, where food sat at the centre of family life. My mam was a professional chef, my sister followed the same path, and meals were how we connected, celebrated, and cared for one another.

Alongside that, my relationship with food and my body became complicated for a long time. Food stopped being something intuitive and supportive, and became something managed, controlled, and loaded with meaning. Living through that period has shaped how I understand nutrition far more deeply than education alone ever could.

Why I Work the Way I Do.

Finding my way back to a steadier relationship with food, movement, and myself is central to why I do this work. It’s also why I strive to work in a way that recognises the complexity people bring with them - their histories, habits, identities, and pressures - rather than trying to reduce nutrition to rules or rigid frameworks.

I now work at the intersection of evidence-based nutrition and lived experience. I take a whole-person approach because no one exists in silos. Performance, health, mental wellbeing, and identity are deeply connected, and nutrition only works when it fits into the reality of someone’s life.

This approach underpins how I work with athletes through personalised sports nutrition coaching that supports performance, recovery, and long-term consistency.

Qualifications & Professional Profile.

I hold an MSc in Sport and Exercise Nutrition and a BSc in Human Nutrition. I’m a Registered Associate Nutritionist (AfN) and SENr-accredited. My work focuses on translating robust nutritional science into practical, adaptable approaches that people can sustain, without fear, guilt, or extremes.

Background, Balance & Perspective.

Originally from West Wales and now based in London, I carry a blend of slower roots and fast-paced living. That contrast shapes how I see balance, pressure, and progress - and why I value approaches that are structured but human.

Values, Inclusivity & How I Work.

The work I strive to do is grounded in inclusivity, autonomy, and authenticity. I aim to create a space where people can show up honestly, feel safe to explore change, and be supported without judgement or rigid narratives. My style is direct, collaborative, and centred on long-term confidence rather than short-term control.

This is especially relevant for endurance athletes, where fuelling, recovery, and identity are closely tied to training demands.
